On this day in history, President John F. Kennedy is brutally assassinated during a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. As consequences were unknown and in an attempt to avoid a panic selling situation, U.S. stock exchanges would close within 30 minutes of the news. They remained close for Monday, November 25th as well.
